Surveillance

What is a surveillance system?

A surveillance systems is designed to keep an eye on and/or cover blind spots in your home, office or factory. These systems primarily consist of security cameras that are often connected to a recording device (DVR) or IP network. They may be watched by a security guard or provide law enforcement with video evidence.

What equipment is needed for a surveillance system?

A wired surveillance systems primarily consist of; a) Security Cameras - the surveillance unit, b) A Video Recorder (DVR) - a hard drive for storage, c) Power Supply Distribution Panel or Power Adapter - power supply unit for cameras, d) Monitors - screens for surveillance and video playback, e) Cables - wires to connect cameras with monitors and power supply panels.
